Within 10 weeks I was tasked with creating this scene. The first assignment was to create a tank. I'll post that breakdown later. I added a bunch of detail to it then began work on modeling the rest of the environment. From there I created the water balloon tearing and then added the water. I have to say I am quite proud of my first water simulation render! Once the water was created I had the timing I needed to create the fur. In about a week I learned some basic parts of Xgen hair simulation and put together the pink fuzzy creature you see in the chair. For some finishing touches I experimented with active and passive ridged bodies for the chess pieces to move and act like the water was colliding with them. finally was adding the lighting back in and making the fireplace flicker with a simple random function. I am excited to keep refining my work and produce more fun environment clips like this!
